Finely tannic, fruity and deep, with black fruits and a floral touch. Sans contrefaçon by Mylène Farmer is an iconic and very famous French song from the late 80's, one that is an ode to freedom and that perfectly fits the spirit of this wine!
A blended cuvée of 2/3 Grenache Noir and 1/3 Syrah. The Grenache comes from vines planted in 1968 on limestone soils, here we have the juice from 2021 that had not finished fermenting, passed over the marc cap of 2022 and then blended with 1/3 Syrah that had macerated for 15 days in amphorae. Aged in vats for 10 months, bottled in April 2023 without fining or filtration and without the addition of sulfites.
Perinne Loeuilleux is a new winemaker that was absolutely not destined for a career in the vineyard. An agricultural engineer from the Pas-de-Calais region of France, she raised with "big red wine" by her parents; it was her encounter with a Burgundian guy that put her head and palate straight into wine!
