A blend of two vintages: 100% Malbec from 47-year-old vines farmed organically and planted on a 1-ha plot of deep red clay soils over Kimmeridgian bedrock, at 330 metres altitude, facing east. Harvested by hand, the best grapes from the parcel were selected for this cuvée. Vinification with whole berries in 2017, and destemmed in 2018. The grapes are moved into vats by gravity, followed by gentle maceration. Two years of maturation on lees in barrels that have seen two to three wines. Neither fined nor filtered, just a tiny pinch of sulfites.
