85% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Carménère. Three casks were loaded onto the schooner Goélette "De Gallant" in La Rochelle, which made stops in Madeira and Cape Verde, before setting off across the Atlantic Ocean. Several port calls followed: Barbados, Grenada, Saint Lucia, Martinique... The adventure continued along the coast of Central America, from Mexico to Nicaragua. Steeped in sea air and beautiful landscapes, they sailed home to Bordeaux. After a year at sea, they’d finally returned to Château Le Puy’s cellars to be bottled.
