Blend cuvée: Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Chardonnay, and Muscat, sourced from biodynamically farmed vines planted between 1975 and 1985 on the slopes of Ammerschwihr, in granite arena soils. Hand-harvested with controlled yields. Natural vinification: direct pressing, then fermentation and aging in barrels of various wines for one year, on lees. Bottled on September 29, 2024, without fining nor filtration, just a micro-dose of sulphur (added at pressing).
JÉRÔME FRANÇOIS
Jérôme François settled in Ostheim in 2014. The young carpenter couldn’t resist the call of the vine and started his estate with a few plots from his grandfather and the barn of his great uncle! Late 2017, Jérôme teamed up with Yann Bury. The man grows his vines biodynamically, and works the soil not with a tractor but with two horses, Sirus and Fastochex. A flock of black Ouessant sheep...
