Les Longues Lignes - 2023 - Jérôme François et Morgane Stoquert
La Grange de L'oncle Charles
An intense and aromatic nose, with notes of quince, Mirabelle plum, citrus fruit, bergamot, yuzu and mandarin... The palate is tonic and long, with lively acidity providing perfect balance, topped off by a salty finish.

100% Riesling, this is the first vintage for this cuvée, with the vines previously cultivated in biodynamics by Marc Tempé for 25 years! Vines planted between 1970 and 1995 on clay-marl and marl-limestone terroirs. Manual harvesting and natural vinification: direct pressing, fermentation and aging in wooden casks that have seen several wines, on the lee, for 12 months. Bottled at the estate on September 29, 2024, without fining nor filtration, just a micro-dose of sulphur (added during pressing).
JÉRÔME FRANÇOIS
Jérôme François settled in Ostheim in 2014. The young carpenter couldn’t resist the call of the vine and started his estate with a few plots from his grandfather and the barn of his great uncle! Late 2017, Jérôme teamed up with Yann Bury. The man grows his vines biodynamically, and works the soil not with a tractor but with two horses, Sirus and Fastochex. A flock of black Ouessant sheep...
