100% Pinot Noir from old vines farmed biodynamically and planted on the gently sloping Altenbourg vineyard at 250 metres altitude. The marl, limestone and sandstone soils are very favourable for achieving high levels of maturity with this grape variety. The grapes are harvested by hand of course, destemmed, followed by one week of cold maceration, 10 days of fermentation with indigenous yeasts, 12 months of ageing in barrels, with 30% new oak.
