100% Riesling from 40-year-old vines grown biodynamically and planted on schist soils. Schieferberg means "schist mountain" in Alsatian. Manual harvest, direct pressing. Natural vinification: two years of aging in stainless steel vats, bottled without fining, filtration or added sulfites.

Pierre and Jean (as in Maupassant’s novel but better) Dietrich (phew!) are the two brothers at the head of Domaine Achillée in Alsace, which they took over in 2015 following their father Yves.
