A blend of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Gamay for this vintage, from vines grown biodynamically, facing Southeast, located in Volvic, at 500 metres altitude (bring your oxygen mask!), on a terroir of granitic sand. The grapes are harvested by hand in small crates. Vinification: maceration of whole grape bunches in fibreglass vats for 2 weeks, followed by pressing and blending of free run juice and press juice. Matured 15 months in Burgundy barrels. Bottled in December 2023 without additives or sulfites.
Vincent Marie participated in the creation of an annual natural wine fair in Caen, and over the years, the meetings he’d have there with winemakers such as Claude Courtois would eventually instil in him a desire to make wine himself.
