A fruit bomb – vinous, charming and authentic, with notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, rose and violet. A splendid, deep colour, much like the wines of Vouette and Jacquesson. A rosé in tune with our times.
Jérôme and Charlotte Bourgeois
Jérôme and Charlotte Bourgeois, partners in life and in the vineyard, are co-managers of Domaine Bourgeois-Diaz, inherited from Jérôme's parents, marking the fourth generation of winemakers. Both born in Champagne, they met in 2007 when the estate was still conventional; since then, it’s evolved constantly: first to converting to organic, then biodynamic practices, and now vinifying all their vines themselves, a shift from his parents’ approach, who were selling their grapes to bigger houses. Charlotte, after completing an agricultural diploma, dedicated herself fully to the Maison de Champagne starting with the 2015 harvest. The 7-hectare estate is made up of some 20 parcels scattered around the town of Crouttes-sur-Marne, halfway between Reims and Paris. Bourgeois-Diaz produces two stunning single-parcel cuvées and iconic single-varietal Champagnes, always striving for purity and allowing the terroir to shine. All of which makes their champagne one for our times – this is resolutely modern bubbly.

A nose with notes of raspberry, small black berries, and a hint of minerals... A very expressive palate, with tension, depth, and structure, and a constant background of endlessly aromatic fruit. A few words from the estate: 'endowed with remarkable acidity, giving it aging potential.'
