Very exotic aromas – pineapple, mango... Huge tension, extremely pure and precise. A palate that’s powerful and balanced. This represents another approach to Jura's Chardonnay, and an original, truly interesting one indeed.
Tony Bornard
Tony Bornard is the son of the famous Jura figurehead Philippe Bornard, today retired. They are neighbours of the famous Pierre Overnoy, andhey reside in the oldest building in the village of Pupillin. Tony struck out on his own to quietly create his estate as well in 2013. He then took over the family estate from his father in 2017, merging it together with the estate he’d personally founded to reach a total of 11.5 hectares. Farmed biodynamically, his Poulsard, Savagnin, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines sometimes give rise to experimentations that represent departures from traditional methods, yet they never lose their pure Jurassien spirit! The wines produced are natural, pure, distinguished juice indeed. Eternally exciting wines.
A pure, fruity Savagnin, with floral and spicy notes, and a hint of walnut... Palate: a clean, precise, well-balanced wine, this is some mouth-watering juice, with lovely acidity, and a long finish.
A very recognizable nose for this grape variety: fresh red fruits, soft spices, with strawberry and raspberry the dominant notes. Palate: fluid, smooth, very drinkable, but also a very nice bottle to lay down.
A nose of tart candy and wild strawberries with subtle vegetal notes. The palate is fluid and smooth, yet with structure and lovely length. “Au fil des generations” (Over the generations) is a wine enjoyed over many glasses – because when the juice is this good, you can’t drink just one!
A nose of lightly crushed red and black berries, with notes of white pepper and lily. On the palate: supple and delicate, this is a true delicacy – a very, very charming wine! Shake it if you want, in order to remove the gas from the wine.
A nose with hints of candied yellow fruit, almonds, and citrus... On the palate, beautiful tension, chiselled precision, and a sharp finish with a touch of salt. A perfect match for a platter of Jura cheeses. as well as with Asian cuisine. A huge success for Tony.
A pure, fruity Savagnin, with floral and spicy notes, and a hint of walnut... Palate: a clean, precise, well-balanced wine, this is some mouth-watering juice, with lovely acidity, and a long finish.
A nose of beautiful complexity, with notes of quince, citron, honey and almond in the shell. The palate is rich and fleshy, with wonderful volume, and a long finish with a hint of brioche.
An expressive nose with aromas of rose and cherry, and vegetal notes... On the palate: a magnificently gulpable glouglou wine, rich and spicy. A well-made Trousseau from a great vintage! And it’s not in your cellar yet!?
A much hotter and drier vintage than usual, resulting in a much sunnier wine profile, powerful and concentrated, with notes of cherry, spice and a subtle touch of oak. A concentrated, sanguine Ploussard, with a character we rarely see, a wonderful discovery.
You don't have to be a fan of the Jura to fully appreciate this cuvée; it appeals to our senses and our memories to seduce them, and our memory aid (aide-mémoire in french) leads us to raspberry, strawberry, minerality... Lots of purity, guaranteed pleasure for natural wine aficionados.
Here's another example of Great Chardonnay from Jura, the natural way! Mineral nose, gunflint, opening onto pear, apple, white peach, lemon cream... The palate is a pure delight, both unctuous and taut.

As its name suggests, a Trousseau worthy of being kept (gardé) in your cellar for a few years! An haute couture cuvée with aromas of rose and cherry, and vegetal notes... On the palate: a magnificently gulpable glouglou wine, rich and spicy, with very beautiful structure.
A very lightly-coloured Pinot, a juice with notes of fruit and wild berries... Palate: a fruity and spicy juice, smooth, fine and racy. Ah, the Jura! This is why we love you so much!
