Pure nose of crisp red fruit and raspberry. A wine of incredible freshness and fine tannins. Perhaps the perfect red, a wine you can enjoy from aperitif to the evening’s end, a festive, joyful wine, to be shared with friends – after all, the Bamboche (think “shindig” in French) never ends!
Sophie et Clément Maire-Kurdziel
Sophie and Clément Maire-Kurdziel, just in their early forties, are respectively from Moselle and Aveyron in France, and met at the university in Montpellier. Both became oenologists, they worked for large Estates in France and abroad, before returning to the Loire Valley. Being actually close to the field and the vineyards, they quickly realized the limits of chemistry, and became more interested by natural wines. To get a better idea of it, Clément trained as a vineyard worker, understanding organic viticulture. It was somewhat by chance that they found Les Justices plot, on a classified ads website! They harvested it for the first time in 2018, and are today at the head of a little less than 2 hectares. They also vinify with high-quality bought grapes, producing some of our favorite cuvées that we’ve tasted in 2021. In short, la Bamboche (one of their cuvées) - meaning “shindig” in french, is just getting started!
A luscious nose of roasted white fruit, candied lemon, lime blossom and a hint of honey. A round palate, with lovely volume, fruit and body, balanced by fine acidity, and a long, luscious finish. Low alcohol for this vintage, resulting in a very fresh wine.
A nose of ripe fruit, blueberry, plum, cherry, and sweet spices, with a hint of sandalwood. Rather full bodied and powerful for this variety, this is a complex wine, without lacking smoothness and freshness – a very well balanced cuvée.
La Guerrière is The Woman Warrior in french, perfect to restore strength among the troops! Fruity and mineral, it will be the forefront of your aperitif, "balanced between the tension of the Chenins on limestone and the roundness of the matured white wines", in Sophie and Clément own words!
Palsambleu... or an old peasant curse from Molière era! A dazzling fruitiness, enhanced with notes of spices and pepper, which will express themselves best after a few months in your cellar. It's really sexy, like all of the Justices wines!
Nose carried by notes of citrus fruits (blood orange!!! orange sanguine in French!), pomegranate, rose, redcurrant... Fleshy, luscious and balanced palate, a deep rosé, crafted for gastronomy and all of your food and wine pairings of those sunny days!
