Nose carried by notes of black fruits, amarena cherry, mineral hint. Structured palate, the acidity is pefectly balanced, beautiful interpretation of the appellation. A few words from the winemaker: "a complete wine, with broad fruit, set on a solid body".
David Croix
David Croix is at the head of the Domaine des Croix, located in the heart of Beaune. Originally from Montlouis-sur-Loire, the young guy knew from the age of 16 that he wanted to make wine, and therefore started a journey to become an oenologist. He went through the viti-oeno diploma in Tours, before leaving for Burgundy where he graduated from the Master of Oenology in Dijon in 2001. He perfected his winemaking skills with Benjamin Leroux of the Domaine du Comte Armand in Pommard, then made a name for himself in Burgundy by becoming the manager of the Camille Giroud Maison for nearly 15 years, until 2016. At the same time, David created the Domaine des Croix in 2005, which today has 7.75 hectares managed organically since 2008 but not certified, on very beautiful Climats, in particular in Grands Crus on the hill of Corton. With his friend Damien Courbet, he is also at the initiative of a negociant project in the Jura, with the aim of sublimating its different terroirs without the oxidative patina.
