Olivier Cohen

Olivier Cohen, originally from Nice, began drinking natural wine at La Part des Anges, the iconic bar and cellar on the Côte d’Azur. Almost self-evident, he began working with winegrowers, and studied with big names such as Thierry Allemand in Cornas, Valette in Mâcon, Arena in Corsica, Gonon in Saint-Joseph… All stars! His first project was to set up a wineshop in Nice, but eventually he realized he missed the vineyard too much. He decided to found his own estate in 2014 with only 26 years old. Les Vignes d’Olivier was born: 7.5 of organic vines in Languedoc region, precisely in Argelliers. No more plowing of the soil, indigenous grassing between the rows, a herd of 30 sheep grazes in the vines: the pampering of the vineyard is taken seriously! In 2017, Olivier began a top-quality negociant business in order to expand the range of his cuvées. Joined by Jean in 2018, who is now his business partner, the two men produce perfectly constructed Southern juices.
