An easy, light, highly fruity, crunchy and subtly tangy red with notes of strawberry and raspberry, cherry and a hint of balsamic. Supple and digestible on the palate, to be sipped while listening to Le Tourbillon by Jeanne Moreau, as Jean-Philippe told us!
Jean Philippe Padié
Jean-Philippe Padié is an unmissable Roussillon winemaker. After studying at the Montpellier School of Agronomy, he trained and worked alongside Gauby and Mas Amiel, very famous estates in Roussillon and in Domaine Plageoles in Gaillac. Southern terroirs that he deepened before settling in 2003 in Calce, which has since become a bastion for natural wine. 20 years of Domaine Padié, with the same logic from the start: high-quality grapes produced biodynamically on demanding and exceptional plots, on slopes, with grass between the rows, low yields, natural vinification... With thirty small plots on about fifteen hectares, Jean-Philippe transcribes all the richness and diversity of his place, through his “time wines”, “stone wines” and “fruit wines”. Big crush for the wines and for the man, super hard worker, generous, sensitive and poetic. We’re always blown away by the result in the bottle.
