A rather unique blend with notes of raspberry, black fruit, a hint of vegetal… Palate: a digestible and crisp juice with ripe tannins. Eloïse is Antoine Delaunay's niece, a wine that could be forgotten a time in your cellar... As you’d expect – this is a cuvée for our children!
Antoine Delaunay
Antoine Delaunay, son and grandson of Muscadet winegrowers, is a 36-year-old winemaker, now at the head of the Delaunay Vignerons estate. A true local boy, Antoine graduated in the area, then became the vineyard manager of Daniel Bideau’s estate in La Haie-Fouassière. The classical logic of returning to the family estate takes on its full meaning in 2015, when the winemaker goes back to his roots, before teaming up with his father Philippe in 2016 on the estate. The conversion to organic had started since 2011; and in this same qualitative boost, Antoine and Philippe stopped selling their grapes to other people, and brought together the qualitative plots of the Domaine de la Bareille within Delaunay Vignerons. Today, the 28 hectares of the estate (with less than 10% of red grape varieties) are pampered, the grapes are vinified naturally, long aging on the lees is adopted on several cuvées, and icing on the cake, prices are super fair. Bravo Antoine!
