A very fresh and appealing nose with notes of rose buds, red fruits, a hint of herbs... The palate is balanced, a digestible juice and truly a beautiful expression of the grape variety.
Seiichi Saito
Seiichi Saito is the winemaker at the head of Domaine Petit-Roy in Chorey-lès-Beaune. Born in China, he moved to Japan with his parents at the age of 11 to join his Japanese grandmother. A wine enthusiast who has always wanted to work in nature, he hesitated between Bordeaux and Burgundy when he arrived in France in 2005, but his passion for Pinot Noir won out. Good for him, he's on the verge of an impeccable career. Pay attention ladies and gentlemen, Seiichi was trained and worked at Domaine Simon Bize, Leflaive, Mugnier and Armand Rousseau. Five stars estates both for precision and for respect and understanding of the terroir, which will be applied from 2016, when he created his negociant business, and of course in 2017 at the creation of the estate, which today covers 6 hectares. Sublime juices, deep and elegant. To quote Seiichi: "I want to make wines that give you energy and don't make you tired", a challenge that has largely been met.
