Julie Rouffignac and Gérald Lafont, a couple in life as in the vineyard, are both trained oenologists with very different backgrounds. Madame has always been passionate about wine, even though her family had no connection with it, and following her diploma, she advised on the emblematic rosés of the Côtes de Provence. As for Monsieur, he first learned alongside his father, himself a winemaker, before taking over the 4 hectares of vines following his demise. The couple met at a... job interview! A meeting that proved conclusive, as today, Domaine d'Arbousset covers 10 hectares in the communes of Tavel, Lirac and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and is farmed organically and biodynamically. Julie and Gérald produce wines with no inputs apart from a micro-dose of sulphur, straightforward, generous, ultra-elegant juices with very fine aromas. One of our favorite discoveries of 2023.
