Chris Laurent & Fanny Caignard

Chris and Fanny are the founders of Pinot Bar, their negociant business based in Languidic, Brittany. After very different careers in international trade and project development from Morocco to Paris, they met during the 2020 harvest at Domaine Buisson in Saint-Romain, and have been together ever since! After a variety of experiences, including at Agnès Paquet’s in Burgundy, Thorne & Daughters and Crystallum in South Africa, Belargus and Pellé in Loire, and Chris's viticulture and oenology diploma in hand, the couple settled in Morbihan in 2023. A region that produces almost no wine, to say the least! The plan: to plant their own vineyard and return to the family terroir. This will soon be a reality, and in the meantime we're enjoying their negoce cuvées: Anjou grapes vinified at the small Languidic cellar, labeled with beautiful fishes, Chris being a fishing fan. When you meet this winemaking couple, you immediately fall in love with them: epicurean, humble, they deliver serious and delicious juices with their first vintage.
