Expressive, warm nose with notes of spices, ripe black fruits, and plum. On the palate, a round but fairly powerful attack, echoing the aromatics of the nose. Long finish, this is a wine to pair with hearty dishes and rich sauces.
Sara Lombardi & Charles Mackay
Sara Lombardi and Charles Mackay are at the helm of Domaine Obrière (meaning "worker, artisan" in Occitan) in Béziers, Occitanie. A couple in life and in the vines: he, a Franco-Scottish graduate in economics and sustainable development, and she, an Italo-French expert in social law. Though the vineyard path was distant at first, their deep desire to work with the land brought them together. In 2014, Charles made the leap, with a viticulture diploma in hand. Their meeting marked the birth of their first "baby": Obrière. Today, they farm 7 hectares organically, cultivating local varietals like Carignan, Syrah, Grenache, Servant, and Chardonnay, all in agroforestry and agroecology. Their philosophy? Let Mother Nature take the reins. In 2019, they joined the Syndicat des Vins Nature, cementing their deep commitment to crafting vibrant, authentic wines. Their cuvées are generous, sincere, and made for moments of true sharing, conviviality, and pleasure.
