Jaeok Chu Cramette
Since 2017, Jaoek Chu Cramette has been orchestrating the winemaking at the prestigious Château-Grillet under the leadership of Frédéric Engerer. This discreet 3.5-hectare estate, nestled in the heart of the Rhône Valley, is a true gem of viticultural heritage, embodying exceptional expertise. Originally from South Korea, Jaoek left her home country in 2009 to pursue her passion in Beaune, where she trained in viticulture and oenology at Domaine d’Eugénie. She later enriched her academic journey by earning a master’s degree and an oenologist diploma. Driven by her dream, she began crafting her own wines at Maison des Joncs before taking on a bold challenge: elevating one of France’s greatest white wines at Château-Grillet. Today, Jaoek carries forward the legacy of this rare and legendary appellation, where every bottle reflects the uniqueness of its terroir and the mastery of an accomplished artist of wine.
