The ideal companion for late nights and desserts. This Macvin – the name for Jura’s famous sweet vin de liqueur – is ultra fruity, addictive and luscious, with notes of spice and liquorice. A wine full of substance and intensity.
Stéphane Tissot
Stéphane Tissot took over the beautiful family estate from André and Mireille Tissot in 1990, and in over thirty years has accomplished a colossal task to reach the summit of the Jura and become a model far beyond the borders of France. After converting the entire vineyard to organic farming in 1999, the estate was certified biodynamic in 2004. This has been a relentless, honourable, unblemished career. Stéphane and his wife Bénédicte have never rested on their laurels – nor on their beautiful parcels of old vines, but have brought them to the top and made them shine through natural, sulphur-free winemakings and a wide range of cuvées: Crémant, vin jaunes, vin de paille, Macvin, maceration, amphora aging, etc. Myriad styles mastered for a complete range from powerful, precise, mineral whites to highly digestible, fruity reds. A flagship estate, awarded three stars by the Revue des Vins de France, which we are proud to present to you vintage after vintage.
A splendid sparkling wine for an apéritif, a taut, mineral Chardonnay which whets your appetite, a rich and intense wine with notes of hazelnut and beautiful minerality.
An elegant sparkling Crémant with notes of white fruits, nuts and subtle toasted aromas. Palate: a vibrant wine with very fine bubbles and a creamy texture balanced by beautiful minerality. A superb wine!
An ultra-fruity, addictive, gourmet and luscious Macvin, the ideal companion for late evenings and desserts.
A beautiful expression of fruit : a wine that is broader and more opulent than a classic Chardonnay, an almost southern profile. Aromatic and powerful on the palate with notes of white fruit and rose, long finish… Very nice discovery!
A delicate, fruity Chardonnay... Palate: a well-balanced juice, no heaviness, airy, elegant with lovely bitters.
The magic of Savagnin, here as a skin-contact wine, with notes of candied orange, beeswax and minerality. Tannic, structured and balanced on the palate, an atypical and delicious juice.
A really long (to say the least!) maturation process endows this wine with very complex, well-developed aromas of prune, leather, hazelnut, stewed fruit and a hint of vanilla... The palate is powerful, with depth and persistence – a lovely way to end a meal.
A very lovely nose with notes of red fruits, spices and a hint of smoke. The palate is fleshy, structured and well balanced, with fine tannins and beautiful concentration. Great ageing potential.
A splendid Pinot with notes of red fruits and spices. A structured, balanced palate, with fine tannins, and great ageing potential.
A rosé fizz with bright, tangy red fruit notes. On the palate: lively, fine bubbles, a vinous Crémant with loads of freshness—sharp, thirst-quenching, and perfectly balanced.
A splendid Pinot with notes of red fruits and spices. A structured, balanced palate, with fine tannins, and great ageing potential.
A few words from the estate: “This wine offers surprising depth and brilliance. It is concentrated and structured with vibrant fruitiness. Aging in amphorae surprisingly rounds out the tannins.” Small red fruits and spices come together to create a long aromatic palette.
A warm and generous vintage, this Savagnin has quietly developed oxidative notes, with a rich nose of dried fruit and frangipane, hazelnut, nutmeg... The palate lives up to the nose, with incredible complexity and infinite length... Magnificent!
