Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru "Les Noirots" - 2022 - Cyprien Arlaud
Domaine Arlaud
A nose with notes of blackberries and a hint of undergrowth. Very lovely structure on the palate, fine and pronounced tannins, and a rounded, silky finish. Be patient and put it in the cellar a few years, this cuvée will make it well worth the wait!

Pinot Noir from old vines farmed biodynamically, planted in 1972 on clay-limestone soils, from a 0.16-hectare parcel. "Les Noirots" is a Burgundian variant of "Noiret," referring to walnut trees that once grew here in the early Middle Ages. The soils are plowed with horses, hand-harvested with controlled yields. Vinification: 30% whole clusters, gentle pressing, and 16 months of aging in oak barrels. Bottled without fining or filtration and in accordance with lunar cycles.
