La Fine Faugères is a spirit whose origins date back to the 18th century, with production revived in the 2000s. Today, Barral's Fine Faugères is made from fine wine lees collected after barrel racking. Distillation is done by Martial at the Atelier du Bouilleur in Autignac, the only one authorized to distill within the appellation. It undergoes double distillation in a Charentais pot still and ages in oak barrels for over five years, with a significant angel's share.
