Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru "Aux Combottes" - 2021 - Cyprien Arlaud
Domaine Arlaud
A very fresh and fruity nose, with notes of small red berries: raspberry, redcurrant, and cranberry... Palate: yet again a cuvée with great freshness, both suave and energetic. A very elegant wine.

Pinot Noir from old vines cultivated biodynamically and planted from 1925 to 1964 on a 0.45-ha parcel of red and compact clay-limestone soils, with the bedrock just centimetres from the surface, and in some places exposed. The soil is ploughed with horses, while green harvesting, leaf thinning and harvesting are all done by hand. Vinification: 30% whole bunches, gentle pressing, 16 months of maturation in oak barrels. Bottled without fining or filtration and in accordance with lunar cycles.
