Mâcon Villages - 2022 - Julien Guillot

Chardonnay grown on 3 terroirs, with Viré-Clessé in the majority bringing richness, Monbellet planted with old vines from 1946, and Les Crays whose chalky soil provides acidity. The vines are grown biodynamically, the whole estate is certified since 2001. Grapes are harvested by hand, with sorting in the vineyard and on tables when necessary. Natural vinification: direct and slow pressing, aging on lees in barrels that have seen several wines, for 12 months, blending of the barrels and 6 months ion additional aging in vats. Bottled at the estate.
