Burgundy
Saint Romain Au Bas de Poillange - 2022 - Pauline Genot
Vignoble de Pauline
A very pretty cuvée, well-suited to ageing, with floral notes, honey and a subtle hint of vanilla. Unctuous, round, mineral and fresh on the palate, with a taut, saline finish.

100% Chardonnay from organic vines planted in 1988 on 25 ares of clay-limestone soil. Harvesting was done by hand, sorting in the vineyard and in the cellar on a vibrating table. Direct pressing in a pneumatic press, settling, racking and fermentation in barrels, followed by aging in these same barrels for 8 to 10 months, without any stirring of the lees and with 20% new oak. The barrels are racked for a blending in vats, bottling at Domaine Truchetet with its own bottling line.
