Santenay - 2022 - Pierre Fenals
Maison en Belles Lies
A complex nose, offering huge sensations from the moment the cork flies, with notes of white fruits, citrus fruits, and a hint of hazelnut... Palate: serious tension, perfectly balanced acidity, lovely length, and a finish of subtle exotic fruits. A lovely wine, and very nice for the price!

100% Chardonnay from vines farmed biodynamically and planted on very stony soils towards the top of the Santenay slope, facing south. The grapes are harvested by hand, with tightly controlled yields. Vinification without additives: direct pressing, then transfer into 350-litre barrels that have seen several wines for vinification and maturation. After 20 months of maturation, the wine is bottled at the estate on the 27th of May 2024 without fining or filtration, without added sulphur.
