Coteaux Champenois - 2020 - Sébastien Mouzon

Champagne Mouzon Leroux

A white wine from Champagne that truly feels like one but without the bubbles! Like whaaat!!! This is so good, we're mind-blown! Notes of hazelnut, biscuit, butter, white fruits, mineral backbone... It's fat and fresh at the same time, such a beautiful discovery and so rare! Big crush.

The grapes come from organic vines planted on clay-limestone soils over flint, and are harvested by hand. Natural vinification, direct pressing, 20 months of aging on total lees. Bottled at the estate without fining or filtration. 1798 bottles produced.

Sébastien Mouzon

Sébastien Leroux, 43, is at the head of Mouzon-Leroux Champagnes, heir to a family whose winegrowing roots go back to the 18th century. He grew up in the vineyards of Verzy, passed his diploma in winegrowing and then returned to the estate in 2002, where he assisted his parents Pascale and Philippe until 2008. At the age of 28, in 2008, he was hit hard by the global crisis, and opened his eyes...
