A blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay from biodynamic and agroforestry-farmed vines planted on the Montagne de Reims in Verzy, a Grand Cru parcel with clay-limestone soils over flint. Harvested by hand. This is a blend of 55% of the 2019 harvest, and 45% of the 2018 and 2017 harvests. Vinification: indigenous yeasts, vinification and aging on gross lees, ageing on laths, disgorged in October 2023, without any dosage. Unfined, unfiltered, very low sulfite.
Sébastien Mouzon
Sébastien Leroux, 43, is at the head of Mouzon-Leroux Champagnes, heir to a family whose winegrowing roots go back to the 18th century. He grew up in the vineyards of Verzy, passed his diploma in winegrowing and then returned to the estate in 2002, where he assisted his parents Pascale and Philippe until 2008. At the age of 28, in 2008, he was hit hard by the global crisis, and opened his eyes...
