Léopold Gourmel Cognacs are made from wines from the "Fins Bois" area and appelation, on the oldest subsoil where the roots of the vines go down to a depth of 20 or 30 meters to draw the best resources from the terroir. This is also the place in Cognac that has the most hills, exposing the grapes to the East for better ripening. The result is a stronger, richer, more aromatic and mineral wine. Systematically distilled on fine lees, the eaux de vies (spirits) will present an in-depth aromatic richness whose finesse and complexity will be revealed through ageing.
