A rich nose with notes of white flowers, lemon and pear. Palate: a clean attack, lovely acidity, pure fruit flavours such as white peach, and a long, luscious finish. A period of maceration gives the wine lovely depth and light tannins, perfectly complimenting the variety’s rich aromatics.
100% Chardonnay, from vines farmed organically and planted on the Basket Range terroir in the Adelaide Hills, South East Australia. The grapes are harvested by hand when ripe. Vinification: after 10 days of whole bunch carbonic maceration in cement vats, the wine is matured in stainless steel tanks, and bottled in the spring (spring in the Southern Hemisphere!) on the estate. Neither fined nor filtered, and just a microdose of sulphur.
