A slightly oxidative nose with notes of cashew nuts, juniper berries and a hint of floral aromas. The palate is fresh and rounded, with a slender body and a long, white fruit finish. Gin Gin also rhymes with Tchin Tchin – ‘Cheers’ in French!

100% Chardonnay (Californian clone Gingin, hence the name of the cuvée) from vines planted in the village of Piccadily, in the Adelaide region of southeast Australia. The grapes are harvested by hand, sorted in the vineyard, followed by direct pressing, racking into barrels, maturation on fine lees for 10 months in barrels, with a little stirring of the lees. Only four barrels produced, one of which is new oak. Neither filtered nor fined, and bottled in December 2020 (southern hemisphere!) with just a micro-dose of sulphur. 600 bottles produced.
