Tavkveri Rosé Sister Wine's - 2020 - John Okruashvili
Okro's Wines
A very fruity nose carried by notes of tart strawberry, some rose, almost candy-like... A light juice with nevertheless a serious frame thanks to the prolonged aging. A very exotic wine!

Tavkveri from vines that have never been touched by chemicals, planted in the famous wine region of Kakheti, in eastern Georgia. Harvested by hand, of course. This cuvée is actually vinified by Jane, John's sister, in their winery located in the commune of Signaghi. Grapes in whole bunches are directly pressed then aged for more than a year in qvevris – large terracotta jars buried up to their necks in the ground – keeping with traditional Georgian methods. Bottled on the 25th of October 2021 without filtration or fining, and no added sulphur.
John Okruashvili
