100% Muscat of Alexandria cuvée from over 100 year-old vines, grown biodynamically, planted in Pantelleria, this small volcanic island located between Tunisia and Sicily. Vinification: 100% destemmed grapes, long maceration and aging in amphorae, indigenous yeasts, zero inputs. Pure juice, unfiltered, unfined, without added sulphur and with a very very low total SO2, results that are difficult to achieve! Probably overpriced, I'll give you that, but this is a rare wine, but this is a bottle for meditation, the fruit of a wild vineyard!
Gabrio Bini
Gabrio Bini, 70 years young, lives and works on Pantelleria, a tiny volcanic island in the strait of Sicily, halfway between Sicily and Tunisia. The neighbour of Bond-girl-turned-winemaker Carole Bouquet, Bini has had several lives as well: architect in Milan, right-hand to a (very) big name in haute couture, before becoming consumed with a passion for this island – and for natural wines....
