Rosso R - 2019 - Clémentine Bouvéron et Gian Marco Antonuzi
Azienda Le Coste
Aromas of plum and morello cherry with a hint of spice. On the palate, a structured and balanced wine, blending ripe fruit and subtle oak. Great depth, where the juicy fruit is supported by a delicate woody backbone, leading to a long and elegant finish.

Rosso R, or Riserva, is crafted from the finest grapes of their most outstanding parcel, farmed organically, of course. This 100% Greghetto (a local Sangiovese variety) is only produced in exceptional vintages. Whole-cluster vinification with carbonic maceration is followed by fermentation in chestnut wood vats and extended aging in demi-muids. The wine then spends an additional year refining in bottle at the estate. Unfined, unfiltered, and made without added sulfur.

Gian Marco Antonuzi
Gian Marco Antonuzi and Clémentine Bouvéron live in Gradoli, 150 km north of Rome. Clémentine studied oenology and Gian trained under such renowned vignerons as Barral and Pacalet . The young couple settled here in 2004 and started their estate from scratch, the land uncultivated but for a grove of olive trees abandoned for the last 20 years – good news when one doesn't want to inherit...
