A much hotter and drier vintage than usual, resulting in a much sunnier wine profile, powerful and concentrated, with notes of cherry, spice and a subtle touch of oak. A concentrated, sanguine Ploussard, with a character we rarely see, a wonderful discovery.

100% Ploussard from 45 to 80 years old vines from massal selection, conducted organically and planted on pink iridescent marls on the locality of “Les Chambines”. Manual harvesting, complete destemming, fermentation, and maceration in 2400 litres casks. Treading and pumping over once a day for 3 weeks, maceration for a month, pressing and élevage in the same casks. Bottled at the Estate, unfined, unfiltered, zero added sulfites.
Tony Bornard
Tony Bornard is the son of the famous Jura figurehead Philippe Bornard , today retired. They are neighbours of the famous Pierre Overnoy, andhey reside in the oldest building in the village of Pupillin. Tony struck out on his own to quietly create his estate as well in 2013.
