Jura

Le Rouge Queue - 2020 - Tony Bornard - Magnum

Domaine Bornard

Very exotic aromas – pineapple, mango... Huge tension, extremely pure and precise. A palate that’s powerful and balanced. This represents another approach to Jura's Chardonnay, and an original, truly interesting one indeed.

100% Melon à Queue Rouge, an old grape variety from Jura related to the Chardonnay variety, even considered like it according to its appellation. A forgotten grape variety which had almost disappeared due to its low yield. Vines organically conducted and manually harvested. Natural vinification, long élevage in barrels of several wines. Bottled at the Estate. Unfined, unfiltered, zero added sulfites.

He then took over the family estate from his father in 2017, merging it together with the estate he’d personally...
