Les Varrons Vieilles Vignes - 2019 - Jean François Ganevat - Magnum
Domaine Ganevat
A powerful, complex nose: citrus, mineral, saline, chalky, and buttery. Palate: wow, wow, and wow… substance and volume in spades, but moreover great elegance, a deep, vibrant, fine wine, with lovely length to balance the rich roundness of the Chardonnay.

100% Chardonnay cuvée, from old vines planted at 250 metres altitude on an east-facing slope with a terroir of clay over limestone, in the small town of Rotalier. The parcel is grown biodynamically. Bottled at the estate without fining, filtration, or the addition of sulphites.
