Savagnin Sous Voile - 2019 - Marin Fumey
Domaine Fumey Chatelain
Oh Savagnin, how we love you! A quintessential expression of the grape variety, with an oxidative nose of fresh nuts, dried fruits and spices. The palate is in harmony with the nose, boasting power, volume and length, citrus fruit acidity, and a touch of salt on the finish.

100% Savagnin from several parcels, planted on predominantly marl soils and in conversion to organic farming. 2019 was a vintage with frost, resulting very low yields, but rich in flavors and textures. It is therefore a cuvée made in the oxidative style, without any topping up of the barrel. Bottled at the estate at the beginning of 2024, with sulfites used only sparingly.
