Nose: notes of redcurrants, tart strawberries, cranberries, white pepper, and a subtle hint of smoke. Palate: pure and chiselled, with light, crisp tannins, and fruit upon fruit upon fruit – and very nice length to boot!

100% Trousseau from organic old vines planted between 1962 and 1970 on the north side of Sauvagny and at Le Clousot in the town of Montigny-lès-Arsures, two parcels with limestone and marl soils. Hand-harvested and naturally vinified: half of the harvest is destemmed, and everything is macerated for around three weeks, gently pressed, aged for 10 months in stainless steel vats. Bottled on the estate, with sulfites used only sparingly.
Marin Fumey
Marin Fumey, a young purebred Jura winegrower, has always bathed in Vin Jaune! His parents Adeline and Raphaël founded the estate in 1986 with only 56 acres of vines. While it remains a family affair, today Fumey-Chatelain totals sixteen hectares of vines in the process of being converted to organics.
