Bourrasque - 2022 - Benoit Guillot et Erika Mazer
Les Gragnotes
Wow effect on the palate! This is an original yet very classy Syrah, with floral and indulgent notes of tonka bean and cake. The palate is pure and fresh, like a little gust of pleasure. Bourrasque, which means "gust" or "squall" in French, perfectly captures this lively and joyful experience.

100% Syrah from 30-year-old vines, farmed organically, planted on a 1.5-hectare plot with clay-limestone soils. Hand-harvested in small crates, very early in the morning. Whole clusters are foot-trodden, with three days of maceration, followed by three months of aging in 6 to 12-year-old barrels. The barrels are then blended and aged for four months in tanks. Bottled at the estate in May 2023 with just a micro-dose of sulfur.
