A great Carignan, full of fruit and spice... Palate: incredible texture, this is velvety juice, smooth, easy drinking, and explosively fruity!
A 100% Carignan cuvée, from century-old vines, grown organically and planted on schist and clay-limestone soils, at the heart of the Hautes Corbières, at 200 metres altitude. The vineyard is worked by hand and crawler tractor, and no use of pesticides. Grapes are harvested by hand, with small crates. Natural vinification without sulphur, fermentation at low temperatures with whole clusters, soft pressing, maturation in casks that have seen several wines. Bottled at the Estate without fining or filtration, zero added sulfites.
Maxime Magnon: simply put, it’s he who restored the image of the Corbières appellation. Burgundy-born, in his forties, he’s worked in Villeneuve-les-Corbières since 2002. But before that, Maxime studied and trained at length alongside many of the greats: Thierry Allemand, Thierry Valette, Selosse...
