La Pointe - 2021 - Sara Lombardi & Charles Mackay
Domaine Obrière
Expressive, warm nose with notes of spices, ripe black fruits, and plum. On the palate, a round but fairly powerful attack, echoing the aromatics of the nose. Long finish, this is a wine to pair with hearty dishes and rich sauces.

100% Carignan from century-old vines organically farmed, with parcels cultivated using agroforestry—cover crops between vines and no tilling of the soil. Hand-harvested, with natural vinification: fully destemmed, a short maceration for one week. The free-run juice (making up about 80%) is blended with press juice, then aged for two years in tanks. Bottled at the Domaine, unfined, unfiltered, with no added sulfites.

Though the vineyard path was distant at first, their deep desire to work with the land brought them together....
