Les Fringants - 2023 - Sara Lombardi & Charles Mackay
Domaine Obrière
Nose of pear and almond, with typical oxidative notes of Grenache Blanc. Its great freshness, length on the palate, and crisp finish make it a lovely gastronomic wine, perfect to try with white meats or smoked dishes.

100% Grenache blanc from organically and biodynamically farmed vines, planted on clay-siliceous soils. All the estate’s plots are cultivated using agroforestry (with fruit trees present among the vines), and grass cover is encouraged. Handpicked grapes and low yields, around 20 hl/ha. Natural winemaking: direct pressing, aging in tanks for 8 months, bottled at the estate in April 2024 without fining or filtration, with sensible use of sulfites.
Sara Lombardi & Charles Mackay
Sara Lombardi and Charles Mackay are at the helm of Domaine Obrière (meaning "worker, artisan" in Occitan) in Béziers, Occitanie. A couple in life and in the vines: he, a Franco-Scottish graduate in economics and sustainable development, and she, an Italo-French expert in social law. Though the vineyard path was distant at first, their deep desire to work with the land brought them together....
