100% Cinsault from organically farmed vines planted on plots managed using agroforestry practices, with no tilling of the soils. Hand-harvested with low yields. Natural vinification: a gentle one-week maceration in stainless steel tanks, followed by pressing and 8 months of aging in fiber tanks. Bottled at the estate in April 2024 without fining or filtration, no added sulfites. Pelbery is the name of the vineyard plot.
Sara Lombardi & Charles Mackay
Sara Lombardi and Charles Mackay are at the helm of Domaine Obrière (meaning "worker, artisan" in Occitan) in Béziers, Occitanie. A couple in life and in the vines: he, a Franco-Scottish graduate in economics and sustainable development, and she, an Italo-French expert in social law. Though the vineyard path was distant at first, their deep desire to work with the land brought them together....
