Bel Air - 2021 - Valentin Desloges
Les Quatre Piliers
Notes of candied citrus fruits, pineapple, honey. A white wine which is produced on a terroir usually for reds, which gives it a lot of power, volume, length, endless finish, finely saline, and a retro-olfaction to die for. Decanting is recommended.

100% Sauvignon from 55 to 65 year-old vines, in massal selection, grown organically, planted on a two hectares plot facing South-East, which has deep clay-limestone soils with iron oxide. Manual harvest, fermentation and vinification in 228-litre barrels, we are talking about ex-Coche-Dury barrels and barrels made by the François Frères cooperage with oak from the estate, dried by Valentin. Long aging for two years, then one year of maturation in bottle at the estate's cellar. Sensible sue of sulfites.
