Chapitre I - 2023 - Valentin Desloges
Les Quatre Piliers
Fourth vintage for this cuvée, all about precision, energy, confidence, and finesse. The palate is ripe and generous, carried by a mineral backbone with notes of candied orange, exotic fruits, brioche, and verbena, with a long finish. Decanting recommended before tasting.

West exposure. Manual harvest, direct pressing, indigenous yeasts, fermentation in demi-muids, aging for 10 months in 500-liter casks, with less than 10% new oak. Two months of blending then bottling during the last week of July 2024, sensible use of sulfites (volcanic sulphur).
