A dry Chenin, with notes of white fruits, citrus, honey, a hint of spices... Palate: a refined wine, powerful, rich and delicate, with moderate tension... An aperitif Chenin par excellence.
100% Chenin from 60-year-old vines grown on silty-flinty soils, located in Montlouis-sur-Loire. The estate is certified organic by ECOCERT. The grapes were harvested progressively, over the course of 3 successive passes. Vinification: direct pressing, transferred to barrels, 12 months of maturation in 400-litre barrels and three weeks in vats. Neither fined nor filtered, and bottled at the Estate at the end of October 2023 with just a micro dose of sulphur.
Ludovic Chanson, from his first bottles released as a young upstart winemaker, has been proving himself year in year out in Montlouis. Entering the wine world in 2009, having left a career in pharmaceutical research, this scientist was bitten by the vine bug during time spent with Vincent Carême and Damien Délécheneau (of the Domaine La Grange Tiphaine).
