Les Rosiers - 2022 - Clément and Laure-Anne Nicolas
Domaine de Bellivière
"Peach, quince, honey, tropical fruits, a hint of pastry... A few words from the Domaine: 'This wine, delicious in its youth, will reveal a more pronounced minerality after a few years of aging.' A technically dry wine, slightly off-dry, with 7 grams/liter of residual sugar."

100% Chenin from 10- to 40-year-old vines farmed biodynamically on flinty clay soils over tufa stone. The wine is a blend of selected barrels from 24 parcels spread over 5 hectares in the communes of Lhomme and Ruillé-sur-Loir. Harvesting is done by hand with crates. Vinification: after pneumatic pressing and natural cold settling, the wine ferments with indigenous yeasts, then matures on its fine lees for 12 months in barrels that have seen several wines. Bottled in November 2023 with a light dose of sulfites.
Clément and Laure-Anne Nicolas
Clément Nicolas and his wife Laure-Anne took over the reins of Domaine de Bellivière in a smooth transition in 2021, after Clément had joined his parents, Eric and Christine Nicolas, at the estate in 2015. Founded in 1995, the Domaine has become a Loire Valley benchmark, especially for its Jasnières and Coteaux-du-Loir—two underappreciated appellations that the family elevated to excellence...
