Domaine de Bellivière
A lovely introduction to the estate’ wines, with notes of honey, beeswax, quince, pear, and melon... A wine that falls into the category of "semi-sweet", with 10.5 grams of residual sugar per litre. Must be tried with an apple tarte Tatin!

100% Chenin from 10- to 40-year-old vines farmed biodynamically on flinty clay soils over tufa stone. The wine is a blend of barrels chosen for their fruity character from 24 parcels spread over 5 hectares in the communes of Lhomme and Ruillé-sur-Loir. Harvesting is done by hand with crates. Vinification: after pneumatic pressing and natural cold settling, the wine ferments with indigenous yeasts, then matures on its fine lees in barrels that have seen several wines for 10 months. Bottled at the estate in June 2023 with a small dose of sulphur.
